Terms of Use
Effective 3 October 2026
These terms apply to your use of the Kashiwala app ("the App"), made by Jina Code Systems LLP ("we", "us") for the Shri Parasnath Ji Mandir at Kashiwala. By using the App you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.
1. What the App offers
Kashiwala is a free devotional app. It includes the Story of Kashiwala tirth, daily darshan and aarti videos from the temple, a Jain panchang (calendar) with parva and festival information, and reminders. Some features may change, be added, or be removed over time.
The App is free. It does not sell anything, show ads, or collect payments or donations.
2. Your account
- You can use the App as a guest. You may optionally link a Google or Apple account to keep your progress across devices.
- Keep access to your Google or Apple account secure. Anyone who can sign in with it can open your Kashiwala progress.
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete Account. See the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.
3. Acceptable use
Please use the App respectfully. Don't:
- use it for anything unlawful, or to harass or harm others;
- try to break into, overload, or disrupt the App or its servers;
- scrape or copy its content with automated tools;
- pretend to be someone else, or to speak for the temple or its trust.
4. Content
- Darshan and aarti videos belong to the temple and are hosted on YouTube. YouTube's own terms apply when you watch them.
- The App's text, design, photographs and story belong to us or to the temple, or are used with permission. You are welcome to share story cards and chapters through the App's share buttons for personal, non-commercial purposes. Please don't republish them commercially without our written permission.
- Jain prayers, stotras and scriptures belong to the Jain tradition and are presented for devotion.
- You keep ownership of anything you add, such as sankalp notes or profile details. You allow us to store and display it only to provide the App to you.
5. History and panchang information
We take care to keep the history of Kashiwala accurate. The App labels what is supported by evidence, what comes from tradition, and what scholars still debate. Historical interpretation can change as research continues.
Tithi, parva and festival dates are provided for guidance and can differ between Jain traditions and regions. For religious observances, please follow your own guru or sangh.
6. Disclaimers
We work to keep the App reliable, but it is provided "as is" and "as available". We can't promise it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or that videos will be uploaded every day.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the App, including lost progress or records caused by technical problems. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
8. Suspension and ending
You can stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend access for anyone who breaks these terms, or discontinue the App with reasonable notice in the App.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. If we make significant changes, we will tell you in the App before they take effect. If you keep using the App after that, you accept the new terms.
10. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Before going to court, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue. Courts in India will have jurisdiction over any dispute.
